Privacy policy
Last updated: October 29, 2026
Nimble Savings (“we”, “us”) runs nimblesavings.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We follow Canada’s privacy law (PIPEDA) and British Columbia law where they apply.
Who is responsible: Nimble Savings, a sole proprietorship in British Columbia, Canada. Contact: hello@nimblesavings.com.
What we collect
- Email address (and name, if you give it). If you sign up for our newsletter or email us.
- Messages you send us. For example, if you email hello@nimblesavings.com.
- Technical and usage information. Such as your IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and when. This comes from our web hosting and from cookies and similar tools.
We don’t ask for payment details. We don’t sell products; purchases happen on the store’s own site.
How we use it
- To send the newsletter you asked for, and to reply to your messages.
- To keep the site secure and working.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar tools. A cookie banner lets you accept or limit non-essential cookies. We use Google Analytics, set up through Google’s Site Kit plugin, to understand which pages are visited and how the site is used. Google’s tool uses cookies and receives information such as your IP address, browser, device and the pages you view. Our cookie banner tool, SureCookie, keeps a record of each cookie choice, with your IP address, approximate location and the time, so we can show what you agreed to.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without most of them.
Who else handles your information
We use these services to run the site. They may process your information for us:
- Hostinger (web hosting and email). Hostinger may store this information in data centres outside Canada. For Amazon picks, our site also asks Hostinger’s product-data service for each product’s price, rating and image. These requests come from our server and contain the product’s Amazon number, not information about you.
- MailerLite (our email service. When you sign up, your email address and the time of your consent are stored with MailerLite, which sends our emails and handles unsubscribes. MailerLite is based in Lithuania and may process data outside Canada. Our sign-up form sends your details directly to MailerLite when you submit it. See MailerLite’s privacy notice for how it uses information.)
- SureCookie (cookie banner).
- Google: Google Analytics (see above) and, for new visitors, a font from Google Fonts on our host’s browser-check page. Google may receive your IP address through both. Our fonts are served from our own site.
- Amazon.ca (when you click an affiliate link, Amazon sets its own cookies to credit us for a qualifying purchase. See Amazon’s privacy notice for how it uses information. Product photos on our pages load directly from Amazon’s image servers. When your browser loads them, Amazon receives your IP address and basic browser details (not the address of the page you’re on). Loading the photos doesn’t set any cookies.)
- Commission Junction (CJ) and Kaiya Baby (when you click a link to Kaiya Baby, it goes through CJ, an affiliate network. CJ sets its own cookies to record the click so Kaiya Baby can credit us for a purchase, and Kaiya Baby’s site sets its own. See CJ’s and Kaiya Baby’s privacy notices for how they use information. We don’t load anything from CJ or Kaiya Baby on our pages, and we don’t use CJ’s tracking pixel.)
- Rakuten Advertising and Tushbaby (when you click a link to Tushbaby, it goes through Rakuten Advertising, an affiliate network. Rakuten sets its own cookies to record the click so Tushbaby can credit us for a purchase, and Tushbaby’s site sets its own. See Rakuten’s and Tushbaby’s privacy notices for how they use information. We don’t load anything from Rakuten or Tushbaby on our pages, and we don’t use Rakuten’s tracking pixel.)
Some of these services are based or store data outside Canada, including in the United States. Their own laws apply there.
We don’t sell your personal information.
Newsletter
We only email you if you’ve asked us to. When you sign up, you tick a box to agree to receive emails from us, and we send a message asking you to confirm your address before we add you to the list. Every email has an unsubscribe link. You can also email hello@nimblesavings.com to be removed.
Affiliate links
Some links are affiliate links. We describe this on our Affiliate disclosure page. Clicking an affiliate link takes you to a store, which has its own privacy practices.
How long we keep it
We keep newsletter details until you unsubscribe. We keep emails you send us for as long as we need them to respond, and logs for a limited period set by our host. Cookie-consent records are kept in our site’s database.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to withdraw your consent, by emailing hello@nimblesavings.com. We’ll respond within a reasonable time. If you aren’t satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Children
This site is for parents and caregivers, not for children. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no website or email system is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
